Featured website: Dead Gentlemen Productions. The Dead Gentlemen are a group of independent actors and filmmakers in the business of creating some of the most entertaining niche comedy films I've seen in a long time. Based almost entirely around the subjects of role-playing games, horror, fantasy, and pirates (everything's better with pirates), the Dead Gentlemen have produced three full-length films thus far, as well as a web series and numerous YouTube shorts.

End of Silence show #06



Featured website: Dischord Records. Dischord Records has been the premier label and distributor for independent music, and has influenced two generations of DIY and indie artists. Formed by former Teen Idles bassist Ian MacKaye (later of Minor Threat, Fugazi, Egg Hunt, Skewbald/Grand Union, and The Evens) and drummer Jeff Nelson (later of Minor Threat, Egg Hunt, Skewbald/Grand Union, and Three) in 1980, Dischord began releasing songs by local punk bands in the DC area, kick-starting the DC Hardcore scene. Thirty years later, the company is still going strong, selling records through the mail, and playing host to a new generation of independent musicians. Alumni of Dischord include Minor Threat, Youth Brigade, SOA, the Faith, Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty, Fugazi, High Back Chairs, Slant 6, Simple Machines, El Guapo, Joe Lally, and the Evens.

Technical difficulties

Something weird was going on during the last show--all of the audio was archived, but the volume was a little screwy. The show post is going to be delayed a little longer while I get my little audio problem sorted out.

EDIT: I was only able to get the audio problem partially sorted out. The volume on #3 is mostly even, but a lot of the songs have this really annoying hissing sound in the background. My apologies.
